Dr Marcello De Vitis
Marcello has more than 15 years experience in plant ecology and conservation, training and working between Italy, the UK and the U.S.
In recent years, he has been applying principles and practice of plant conservation to ecosystem restoration and among his professional interests and focuses there are the advancement and dissemination of standards for native seed collection, sourcing, storage and production for restoration; ex situ conservation techniques; and the study of reproductive and regeneration mechanisms of native plant populations with application to propagation protocols.
He currently works for Botanic Gardens Conservation International.
