Dr Lizzie Telford
I am a postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sheffield, investigating the impact of rising atmospheric CO₂ on the mycorrhizal associations of tropical savanna trees. I completed my PhD in 2024, centred around understanding the role of functional traits, nitrogen fixation and plant-rhizobial interactions in driving savanna vegetation change.
My research spans macro and microecology, with a focus on plant ecology and biogeochemistry, and integrates field and glasshouse experiments with global datasets. My overarching aim is to understand how plant-microbe interactions are driving vegetation change amid changing environmental conditions.
