Legacy gifts provide a vital source of income for our Gardens. Pledge a gift and become rooted in our history.

Gifts in wills help to provide the Botanics with the resources to achieve our mission to explore, conserve and explain the world of plants.

As a charity we rely on the generosity of others to help support the care of our botanical collections, and enable our scientists, horticulturists, and educators to continue their vital work. Your legacy can also support community projects within our Gardens, facilitate educational workshops, or assist a horticultural apprentice in their studies.

After you have taken care of your family and friends, by choosing to leave a gift in your will to the Botanics you are nurturing our future. Whether you are a regular visitor to our Gardens, are passionate about the world of plants and conservation, or simply have fond memories attached, a gift in your will regardless of size, will help us build a positive future for plants, people and the planet.

'Without the financial support I received from legacies, I would not be able to work under world experts in my area of interest, which are Neotropical aroids, a somewhat under-researched group of plants in the UK. Without these funding opportunities, I would not be able to afford the specialised education and training I need. I would like to go into research and education as a career, so this support will help me immensely in improving my knowledge and skills in the field'.
