James Brian Clouston OBE
Happy 80th Dad
There was a young man from Mossley Hill,
Who saw an apprenticeship there was to fill.
He traveled up north to Edinburgh on the train,
A knowledge of horticulture he was keen to gain.
While in this new city he went for a dance,
Saw a beautiful young lady and found romance.
They fell in love and married at Charlotte Chapel,
Shortly after that they moved to Newcastle.
His first job was at Durham County Hall,
Where he planted trees that would grow far too tall.
He set up his Landscape business that would be worldwide,
Received an OBE, pictured here you can see the pride.
Past President of the Landscape Institute, author of books,
When I say who my Dad is I get amazed looks.
But to me he is simply my old Dad,
And a better Dad I could never have had…
All my love, Kate xxx
