Celebrating St Andrew's Fair Saturday
-
A community-based, yet truly international, seasonal celebration is capturing the imagination in Edinburgh. In an appropriate nod to the patron saint of Scotland, people of all ages and cultures are being invited to enjoy cultural gatherings and informal get-togethers on Saturday, November 30.
St Andrew's Day Fair Saturday is about promoting social inclusion, equality, fairness, compassion. This Spanish creation – with a Scottish twist - is a reaction to Black Friday, an endorsement of consumerism.
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is taking part for the second year, joining the many artists and cultural bodies in support of a social cause.
You can join us at the enchanted Botanic Cottage for a Family Fun programme with music, thanks to the Rolling Hills Chorus, homemade food from our organic garden, and crafts.
