I’ve been interested in nature most of my life and have enjoyed drawing and painting for many years, my drawings and jewellery I make always based on nature, my painting gradually becoming closer to botanical art. Since retiring I’ve been able to put a little more time into these activities that I enjoy.

Title of the project

Fruits of my Garden

About the project

I have chosen the fruit growing in my garden for this project. They are all common fruits grown in the warm temperate parts of the world.

I enjoy going out painting our Australian native plants but I see the blossom of the fruit trees every spring and eat the fruit over the following months so decided to draw them. By drawing and painting these plants, which are waiting patiently just outside my door, I observe them much more closely than otherwise.
