Exhibition - Linocut Art by Deb Wing
Featuring work from her Parallel Printing programme
Courtyard Gallery, Benmore Botanic Garden
Tuesday 19th May - Friday 29th May
10.30am - 4.30pm
Deb Wing is a printmaker creating original Linocut reduction prints in her studio in Dunoon. Benmore has proved a constant source of inspiration for her work which has been recognised through prizes she has been awarded at major print festivals. One of her Benmore-inspired prints was a finalist in the Scottish Landscape Awards in 2023-24.
This exhibition celebrates the work Deb has created reflecting mainly Scottish landscapes. Her vibrant use of colour blends helps to create a unique personal style whilst maintaining an atmosphere of peace and serenity across many of her prints.
The pandemic starting in 2020 was a time of uncertainty for many artists. Deb’s response was to set up online programmes working with almost 100 printers from across the world. This was the start of Parallel Printing where printmakers, ranging from novices to those already selling their work professionally, came together to work on Scottish landscapes under Deb’s guidance.
Since then, many of these printmakers have continued to stay in touch and, from 25-29 May 2026, 11 printmakers from Canada, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, Wales, England and Scotland will be working with Deb at Uig Hall in celebration of printmaking and the bonds that were originally forged during such uncertain times for us all. The printmakers at Uig Hall will be opening for the public to visit during the afternoons of 25-29 May.
Our exhibition will also feature additional work from artists who took part in the Parallel Printing programme and the stories of the artists behind them.
Exhibition Free.
Garden admission applies to non-members.
