Let our stunning restored Palm Houses inspire your imagination in this day-long Creative Writing workshop
Over the course of this creative day, you will be invited to engage with the plants, history, atmosphere and stories held within the newly-restored Palm Houses and the Living Collection they are home to. After a gentle morning taking part in writing exercises designed to awaken your imagination, we will visit the Palm Houses to find inspiration for our own creative work. In the afternoon you will be guided through a time of writing, reflecting and refining to create your own piece of writing or poetry inspired by what you have seen and experienced.
No previous experience of writing is necessary; the day is suitable for all abilities whether you are a complete beginner looking to try something new, or have tried writing before and are looking for a new challenge to stretch your skills.

About the Facilitator
Jo Rush is an experienced creative facilitator who is passionate about making work that is to be shared and felt together in the moment, and that is full of heart and humour. She has directed and delivered a range of work for several well-known organisations including the National Theatre of Scotland and Royal Lyceum Theatre, and writes her own work.
