Galena Woodhouse, CMEP Research Assistant

My interest in plant conservation has been shaped by work across East Africa, particularly in the coastal forests of Kenya. I hold an MRes in Global Change from the University of Edinburgh, focusing on the Coastal Forests of East Africa. I have worked on projects involving biodiversity surveys, conservation planning, habitat restoration, and the management of botanical data. My work combines practical plantsmanship with conservation science, and I am particularly interested in limestone habitats, working with herbarium collections, and using botanical and horticultural knowledge to support effective conservation.
