See inside the Palm Houses: Palm Houses 'Open House' event for educators, 20th November 2026
Teachers and educators are warmly welcome to attend our open house event. Meet the Botanics' learning team over tea, coffee and cake to chat about teaching and learning opportunities. Then take a wander around our beautifully restored Palm Houses and share your ideas about how schools could use them for learning.
Educators who teach primary and secondary.
This event takes place on Friday the 20th of November, 14:00 – 16:15.

Botanics Meets: Science Skills for Geographers, 18th November 2026
We are offering this professional learning opportunity to provide impactful strategies to help you guide your learners through Environmental Science assessments.
This online session offers practical advice for how to plan and lead scientific investigations and fieldwork with learners. This will include planning variables and how these lead through aims, methods, tables, graphs, conclusions and evaluations.

For educators at a Secondary level, particularly those who teach Environmental Science.
This Meet will take place on Wednesday 18th November 2026, from 15:45 - 16:45.

Botanics Meets: Plant Propagation, 24th February 2027
This session will share and demonstrate practical tips for growing and propagating a variety of common plants. It’s designed to help you build pupils’ appreciation of plants and make aspects of courses more relevant to their lives and learning.
Using accessible materials, we will explore plant selection, straightforward processes, and tips for getting your plants to grow.
