Capacity Building

What We Do

We collaborate with teams and organisations to strengthen their capacity for biodiversity conservation. Drawing on the world-leading science and expertise of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, we provide evidence-based education and training.

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is committed to achieving the biodiversity conservation targets outlined in the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation 2020–2030.

The Biodiversity Skills Centre aims to make a positive contribution by addressing the education and training needs of partner organisations and empowering individuals and teams. We firmly believe in the potential of conservation practitioners to reverse biodiversity decline through knowledge, skill, and ingenuity.
