Michelle Wagner, Science Manager (Grants, Contracts and Projects)
I joined the RBGE Science team in April 2024, following 17 years of experience in the higher education sector where I worked extensively in research strategy, grants and project management across a broad spectrum of disciplines including health, science, social sciences, and the arts.
My role at RBGE involves managing and coordinating research grant applications, awards and contracts; working to strategically develop our grant portfolio and income; and developing and implementing processes and policies to support this growth.
RBGE has a vibrant and diverse international grants portfolio encompassing individual and collaborative projects covering areas such as plant humanities, conservation, and genomics. I enjoy applying my grants and project management expertise to support RBGE scientists in advancing their research endeavours.
In addition to the above, I oversee research training and development opportunities for the Science team and work to continually enhance the research environment.
Please contact me directly for any research grant and contract queries.
