Focussed on our regional expertise in Nepal, and surrounding countries in South Asia, we coordinate and manage the Flora of Nepal project, including taxonomic research, publications, fieldwork and Red Listing. We build expertise and capacity for biodiversity research within Nepal. With in-country partners we apply taxonomic data to inform conservation action, and develop user-friendly publications to disseminate plant knowledge to community organisations responsible for conservation and the sustainable use of local natural resources supporting livelihoods. Expertise and lessons learned from our work in Nepal is applied in India and Bhutan.
