Join this free introduction to Connecting Histories, in which an RBGE volunteer shines a light on their favourite aspect of the exhibition.
Connecting Histories presents botanical illustrations of familiar and less familiar plants, depicted with both scientific accuracy and spectacular artistry. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is host to a remarkable collection of Indian botanical drawings within its archive – highlighting long and historic links to India. These unique drawings represent an often overlooked, important moment in the history of Indian art and highlight the movement of plants through Empire.
Delve deeper into the art, science and horticulture of Connecting Histories with our brilliant volunteers, who share their understanding of and responses to the exhibition.
