Data Systems

We develop and extend data management protocols and digital tools to support RBGE biodiversity research and maximise the impact and use of research outputs in addressing global environmental challenges.

We develop and maintain a robust and efficient environment for data capture, storage, analysis and dissemination of biodiversity and taxonomic data, thereby supporting RBGE activities contributing to plant conservation and climate change mitigation. New inputs, outputs and datasets are developed in collaboration with biodiversity researchers, addressing their evolving data capture, management and dissemination needs. This work includes the continued development and maintenance of the Padme taxonomic database system, and associated applications.
