Our Work Around The World
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh connects plants to people across the world.
We are building a global network of people to conserve the planet's natural capital and to enable sustainable use of plants. Through our work, we identify important geographical areas for conservation and engage in programmes in some of the most threatened and least explored ecosystems on earth. We prioritise the species, ecosystems and regions that are most under threat and implement recovery and restoration programmes.
Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of the first recipients of Botanical Gardens Conservation International (BGCI)’s Advanced Conservation Practitioner Accreditation.
