Light Up Red Campaign
-
As part of Poppy Scotland's "Light Up Red" campaign RBGE is lighting its Pinus nigra pallasiana (Austrian pine) with a red spotlight to mark the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. The campaign is encouraging organisations across Scotland to light buildings and landmarks red in tribute to those who fought and those who continue to fight for our country.
Back in 2014 RBGE planted a patch of poppies on the Glasshouse Lawn to mark the centenary of the start of WW1 and four years on it seems fitting that as the anniversary of Armistice day approaches RBGE once again remembers those who fell by taking part in the Light up Red campaign.
