Botanics' Kirsty Wilson joins Beechgrove
-
Horticulturist Kirsty Wilson, who is Herbaceous Supervisor at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, has joined BBC TV Beechgrove Garden's team of presenters. She joins Carole Baxter as well as George Anderson and Brian Cunningham both of whom were previously employees at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
Prior to joining the Botanics, Kirsty worked at other prestigious gardens including Highgrove Gardens, Longwood Gardens in America and St Andrews Botanic Garden in Fife. Her passion is to inspire people to grow plants, to connect with nature and have a positive impact on the world. She says: "Beechgrove has given me the opportunity to do some television presenting and in all my work I am keen to encourage young people to think about a career in horticulture."
Kirsty is part of the new season of Beechgrove Garden which can be viewed on BBC Scotland on Thursdays and BBC 2 on Fridays.
