Students will learn all the fundamental techniquesof basket making, completing a fruit basketthroughout the day. We will work on understandingthe structure of a basket, and practise selectingthe correct grade of willow for each part of thebasket, using Scottish and English grown willows.Techniques taught will include tying the slath,pairing weave, joins, staking up, waling weave anda trac border to finish the basket off.
