The Cordis Prize
The world’s largest award for tapestry returns to RBGE for its fifth edition.
Chosen for their ambition, innovation, skill and scale, this exhibition of 19 shortlisted artists from around the world reveals and rewards the best of contemporary weaving.
This year’s open call attracted a record number of submissions, with entries from as far afield as Australia, Canada and Russia, from artists working across the weaving spectrum – from traditional methods and fibres, to found materials and unorthodox applications of the Gobelin technique.
The 2021 Cordis Prize boasts the most eclectic mix of artists, themes, and techniques to date.
