Spring Flowers of Corsica
The Friends’ of RBGE Committee, in conjunction with Greentours, has organised a week-long trip to see the spring flowers of Corsica from 18-25 April 2020. This scenically stunning island with its brick pink granitic cliffs and unspoilt shorelines, is home to beautiful and rare flora, especially orchids and bulbs, as well as diverse bird and insect life. Visits include the Couvent Saint Francois botanical garden near Oletta, the magnificent gorges that descend from Monte Cinto, Corsica's highest mountain, and the wonderful hill villages of Corte. There will also be an opportunity to explore the various sites of Bonifacio, including the famed citadel, in the company of a local guide.
