Fur & Feathers
Over the 10 monthly sessions, you will create three beautiful paintings, based on a bird, a small furry creature and another natural history subject of your choice. You will look in detail at how to depict the various textures associated with wildlife painting, such as fur, feathers and possibly insect wings or fish scales using pencil and watercolour. Over the ten sessions, you will work from photographs using precise measuring and accurate colour mixing techniques, but you will not be restricted to these techniques in your paintings, as Sharon is happy to encourage a variety of styles.
This unique course gives you ten full days of tuition with time to practice what you have learned in between, allowing you to really immerse yourself in the subject. Some previous painting and drawing experience would be useful, although not necessarily with wildlife subjects. Hard working beginners are welcome.
Taught by Sharon Tingey through a series of demonstrations and personal, one-to-one tutoring.
