Self Guided Visits
The Garden is a great place for self-guided learning. Entrance to the Garden is free and schools, colleges and universities can book in advance to take advantage of our 'education group rate' for entrance to our world famous Glasshouses.
However, to make sure that the Glasshouses are not too crowded, we can only accept a limited number of self-guided groups on any one day, subject to availability. To allow the greatest number of students to visit, we may have to ask you to split your group into smaller groups and stagger entry. Unfortunately, we cannot offer an indoor lunch space to self-guided groups.
To book a self-guided slot, please download the self-guided visit/art permit request form and return to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that your booking is not confirmed until you receive confirmation paperwork from us. All visits must be booked at least two weeks in advance otherwise normal entry rates will apply or you may be refused entry.
Failure to book may mean you are denied access to the glasshouses on your visit or asked to pay full price.
All self-guided groups are asked to adhere to the Code of Conduct, general information is available here.
Please note that the education rate of entry is not applicable for language schools or groups.
Any school, college or university groups wishing to sketch, draw, photograph or paint within the Garden must apply for a non-commercial art permit at least two weeks in advance of their visit. To apply, please download the self-guided visit/art permit request form and return to email@example.com
