
Funerals and Celebration of Life

Within our grounds, we have spaces which are available to book for a private reception following a funeral service or as part of a Celebration of Life event.
Our venues, which are fully accessible, offer space for between 10 – 200 guests in which we can serve light refreshments or Afternoon Tea, or a more formal dining option.
Our refreshments packages start from £14.00 + vat per person.

The David Douglas Room
A stunning room overlooking the Biodiversity Garden which is located within our main John Hope Gateway Building at our West Gate Entrance. This room has its own private entrance and an outdoor terrace offering additional space for guests.
- Seated dining capacity for up to 32 guests
- Standing reception for up to 50 guests
- Wheelchair accessible

The Caledonian Hall
Overlooking the Rock Garden on the East side of the Garden, the Caledonian Hall is a space which is spacious with traditional high ceilings and windows creating a relaxing environment, which also has its’ own private entrance and outdoor patio area for guests.
- Seated dining capacity for up to 100 guests
- Standing reception for up to 120 guests
- Wheelchair accessible

The John Hope Gateway Building
Available to book in the evening once the Garden has closed, the John Hope Gateway is located at the West side of the Garden. This is a bright space which has a large outdoor decked terrace overlooking the Biodiversity Garden, as well as generous indoor space. The venue will seat up to 200 guests for seated dining and up to 450 guests for a standing reception.
