About this Scots Pine
ts distinctive orange bark in the upper parts of the tree, together with its blue-green needles, led to it being regarded as the King of the Scottish woods.
Ranging from north China to western Scotland and as far south as the Pyrenees, the Scots pine is the world’s most widespread pine.
Its distinctive orange bark in the upper parts of the tree, together with its blue-green needles, led to it being regarded as the King of the Scottish woods.
New plantation growths of Scots Pine are destined to be used as telegraph poles, fence posts or pallet boards.
