Benmore Guided Tours & Explorer

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Redwood Avenue; why not enjoy the history, plants and seasonal highlights of Benmore by joining a guided tour. Walking tours take place on a Tuesday & Sunday and the Explorer runs on a Wednesday & Thursday.

Tours depart daily at 11am & 2pm.

Solstice Yoga Sunday

A yoga session of about an hour, taking part outside in the gardens, weather permitting. If the weather is unsuitable, the yoga will take place in the Visitors' Centre. Yoga is followed by breakfast provided by the resident cafe.

GardenTour

Come along and enjoy a tour in the company of the curator. See the vibrant colours and textures of the half-hardy perennials that sparkle and lighten up the garden in a floral display. Plants like Salvia, Argyranthemum, Osteospermum and Penstemon.

People’s Postcode Edible Garden Tours

Visit the Edible Gardening Project polytunnel, fruit area and vegetable plots for advice and inspiration. Free tours available at 12 noon, limited spaces so arrive early to avoid disappointment. Meet at visitor reception in the John Hope Gateway.

Walking With Poets - Jean Atkin

Poet Jean Atkin is in residence for the month of August, and will be hosting walks, talks and workshops celebrating poetry and nature. For more details see www.scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk. A partnership with the Scottish Poetry Library, funded by Creative Scotland through the Year of Natural Scotland and generous Big Give Supporters.

Garden Tour

Come along and enjoy a tour with the curator and ask questions as you go around viewing the late summer floral displays. Some of the plants you will see on your tour include Watsonias, Galtonias, Dieramas and exotic Fuchsias.
