Scottish Snowdrop Festival at the Botanics

Our Edinburgh, Dawyck and Logan Gardens are again participating in the Scottish Snowdrop Festival, organised by Discover Scottish Gardens and supported by VisitScotland.

See specialist snowdrops in Edinburgh

To many, one snowdrop might seem very similar to another but there are endless varieties to uncover. Visit the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and discover a splendid collection of specialist snowdrops or join one of our guided walks and celebrate these wonderful little gems in the clarity of light that winter brings to Scotland.

Our guided Snowdrop Walks take place each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 16 February to 11 March, at 11am. Tickets cost £6. Suitable for ages 14+. Meet at the John Hope Gateway.

Dawyck boasts swathes of snowdrops

If you are visiting Dawyck then prepare to be amazed by the sight of carpets of snowdrops. Swathes of snowdrops which cover the banks of the Scrape Burn are always a firm favourite with visitors in early spring.

Join a Sunday Guided Walk at 1.45pm in February or 2pm in March and learn more about the history of the Garden and its plant collections.
