Santa at the Botanics Event Information

Arrival Information:

Tickets are for timed sessions (approx. 45 mins). Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time, in advance of the time stated on your ticket. Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. We advise that you allow for a 15 minute walk to Santa's Grotto from either the West or East Gate entrances. Santa’s Grotto is located in the Forest Room, in the Fletcher Building.

If you are attending the 3pm session, please be aware that the Garden may be dark on exit. The Garden will close at 4pm.

We would be grateful if on entry to the Fletcher Building, noise be kept to a minimum to avoid disruption to the ongoing performance.

Refreshments will be on sale in the Fletcher Building.

Ticket Information:

Any tickets available for sale on the day of the performance will only be available to buy at the Visitor Welcome Reception Desk at the John Hope Gateway.

Please look after your print-at-home ticket as you would a traditional ticket. It should be printed out and will be scanned on entry to the event. Please do not attempt to duplicate the ticket as it can only be scanned once.

Garden Opening Times:

The Garden is open 10am – 4pm daily in December.

Please note:

On occasions, the Garden has to close at short notice for safety reasons due to extreme weather (e.g. wind speed exceeding 30mph). In the event of bad weather, please phone ahead of your visit (0131 249 2909) to ensure that the Garden is open.

Pushchairs are not permitted within Santa’s Grotto. Pushchairs can be left at the buggy park, within the Fletcher Building, at the owners own risk.
