Come along to the Garden this Easter and take part in a host of fun activities for the whole family.


The Botanics Easter Trail


Join our Botanics Bunny in his quest to find the missing honey bees. Follow the pollen trail to bring our bees back home and discover some special secrets along the way. If you find them all, you may be in for a tasty surprise!

Pick up a trail map from the John Hope Gateway reception desk, £2 per trail map. Suitable for all ages. On daily between 30 March - 16 April, 10am - 4.30pm.

Science Festival


Sat 7 - Sat 14 April

Edinburgh International Science Festival returns to the Botanics with a programme of family-friendly activities that explore the nature and food of Scotland. Also look out for our programme of events introducing  #Pianodrome, a new amphitheatre space created entirely from discarded pianos, that will be built in the Botanics by artist Tim Vincent-Smith and his team in Summer 2018.

The Caley Spring Flower Show

Celebrate the new growing season at The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society Spring Flower Show, a fun event with a variety of categories to enter. So, if you are an experienced exhibitor, are just starting out in your competition career or simply want to look at some beautiful blooms, join us for an interesting weekend.

Entry £3. RCHS Members, students and children, free.
