Come to the Botanics and see our tallest tree spectacularly lit for Christmas by light artist Malcolm Innes.

Standing at nearly 100 feet tall, the Garden's champion poplar tree has been festooned with a mix of uplighting and sparkling lights for the festive season. The 15 metre long garland wrapped around the trunk was created by florists Pyrus using holly, Portuguese laurel and Japanese cypress from the Garden. RBGE's team of horticulturists put all the lights and garland on the tree, and the design was supported by Northern Light, Edinburgh.

Making the most of the dark winter afternoons in the Garden, the tree will be lit from 1pm to 4pm (recommended viewing between 3pm - 4pm) every day until Sunday, 6 January. Please note - The Garden will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
