Botanical Art Weekend at Logan

A fun weekend workshop suitable for all levels of artist. Using pencil, coloured pencil, or watercolour techniques come along and sketch, draw or paint Logan’s finest plant collections.

Guided walk: Never ending colour

Come along and enjoy a tour around the garden with the Curator and see Summer sensations blooming in Scotland’s Most Exotic Garden. Along the tour you'll see spectacular displays from Lantern Trees, Chilean Firethorn trees, South American Lobelias.

Come along and make your own “rocky” friend to take away and keep you company at home. What’s really great is that they don’t need feeding at all.

Scottish Nature Photography Awards

An exhibition of winning images from the 2014 Scottish Nature Photography Awards will be on show.The photo competition attracted > 2000 entries from around the world from professional and amateur photographers.

With help from the volunteers of Dumfries and Galloway’s Bat Group, come along and make your own bat box to take away and place in your garden; as well as joining in with other batty activities.

Jazz evening at Logan

Enjoy a relaxing evening of Jazz with Mike Daly's Rhythm Kings in the magical setting of the Walled Garden.

Create a Dragon Fly mobile

Come along and find out how to convert some canes, pipe cleaners, beads, fishing line and plastic sheet into a dragonfly mobile. When complete, take them home to hang in your bedroom.

Make a wooden spinner

Come along and make, and decorate, yourself a wooden spinner to give your hours of entertainment when you have nothing else to do.

Guided walk: An exotic Paradise!

Come along and enjoy a tour with a Gardener and ask questions as you go around viewing the late summer floral displays. Some of the plants you will see on your tour include Watsonias, Galtonias, Dieramas and exotic Fuchsias.
