Open Garden: Greenhill Park

A visit to two beautifully designed gardens. A mature selection of spring/early summer planting, wonderful trees and shrubs surrounding an interesting pond. There will also be a plant stall. Tea and coffee will be served.

Friends of RBGE Day Visit: Rossie House and Dowhill, Fife

Morning visit to Rossie House, Forgandenny, followed by lunch at the Grouse and Claret, Kinross. Afternoon visit to Dowhill, Fife, with afternoon tea.

Friends' Tour to China

A wonderful opportunity to visit a truly amazing botanical land with the reassurance of travelling with like-minded Friends and the knowledge that for each booking a contribution will go to help the work undertaken by RBGE.

Open Garden: Gilston Lodge

1 and 1/2 acres of enclosed walled garden in a rural setting. A Fascinating walk through 'rooms' full of surprises. Rhododendrons, ponds, trees and woodlands. There will also be a plant stall. Tea and coffee will be served.

'Seasearch' Seaweeds Identification Course

'Seasearch' Seaweeds Identification Course

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) in conjunction with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) are running a 2-day Seasearch Seaweed Identification Course based at Eyemouth, Scotland, on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2014. The course is open to divers and non-divers, whatever your existing level of knowledge, and aims to teach the basic biology of seaweeds, key methods of identification and collection techniques.

Logan Botanic Garden's BioBlitz

A BioBlitz comprises of a group of scientists, naturalists and members of the public teaming up to discover as many kinds of plants, insects, animals and fungi as possible within a particular locality.

Palmhouse Jazz Evening

Join the Friends of RBGE for an evening in the magnificent Palm Houses. Sparkling wine and canapes will be served and live music provided by the Roger Cull Jazz Trio. Tickets are available to Members and their guests.
