Designed to help those moving on from the beginner’s courses, this course will introduce different media and more involved drawing and colour mixing with each ten-week block focusing on a different subject.

A ten-week theoretical course covering a range of topics, from soil science to pruning to plant anatomy. Suitable as an overview of horticulture for absolute beginners, or as a stepping stone to the RHS (level 2) Certificate in Horticulture.

Botanical Artistry: Garden Visitors - Pests and Pollinators

Birds, insects and small creatures will be looked at from a gardener’s point of view in this course which focuses on the depiction of different textures and careful colour mixing.

Draw nature by learning from the work and style of Scottish artists. Over 5 weeks we will take inspiration from the following artists: Victoria Crowe, Elizabeth Blackadder, Barbara Rae, David Michie and Duncan Shanks.
