Ciara Phillips and Nature Printed
Inverleith House, Edinburgh Sat 4 May — Sun 23 June 2013
The first major exhibition by the Canadian born artist Ciara Phillips (b. 1976, Ottawa) gaining international recognition for her use of printmaking (on paper and fabric) which she uses as her primary medium. Nature Printed is the first exhibition devoted to the Garden’s collection of nature-printed books, which is one of the world’s finest: the exhibition contains plates made by Henry Bradbury (1832-1860) which have recently been conserved by the Garden’s library archive and are being exhibited here for the first time.
