If you've ever been puzzled, infuriated or intrigued by the difference between families, genera, species, subspecies, varieties, cultivars etc and how they fit together, join Crinan Alexander on this one-day workshop which sets out to unravel the mystery of plant names, their history and their ongoing importance in the work of RBGE.
During the day we will visit the RBGE Herbarium to examine some all-important type specimens, the basic reference points in plant nomenclature.
