Fri 26 Sept 2014
- 1.00 pm — 5.00 pm
- Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (find us)
- John Hope Gateway
- No booking required
Drop by the John Hope Gateway to meet scientists and have a go at some family-friendly activities.
At "Taxonomy, Teeth and the Titanic", discover how a family of tropical trees is linked to gym shoes, dentistry and international communications (to name a few) and with research at the Botanics. The "Hidden Kingdom" will introduce the fungi that support plant growth and recycle nutrients, as well as the darker side of hidden killers that cost us millions. Meet the good, the bad and the frankly bizarre fungi.
