Nature printing is a wonderful way of representing plants, which was developed by physicians in the 15th century as an aid in their study of medicinal and useful plants.
Next weekend designer and printmaker Pia Östlund from Chelsea Physic Garden will be joining us for a one off workshop at RBGE. The course begins with an illustrated talk on the history of nature printing, followed by a printing session where you will learn how to take your own impressions using fresh plants from the Garden and oil-based inks on paper.
