Alistair Watt is a plant collector, amateur botanist and furniture maker from Victoria, Australia.

In 1985 Alistair found the world's smallest conifer during an expedition to Chile. Afterwards he went plant collecting to Fiji and remote areas of New Caledonia. His contribution to plant collecting has been as important as that of explorers of past centuries.
