Celebrate the 2013 Scottish International Storytelling Festival with an afternoon of free storytelling in locations around the Garden - both inside and outside. Rain or shine, come weave your own ‘Natural Journey' around the Botanics from 1pm to 4pm.

Five storytelling venues across the Garden - including a caravan, a yurt and a tepee - and 23 storytellers (yes, 23!) hailing from Scotland, Canada, India and Botswana are set to enchant both adults and families with children aged 4+.

‘Storytelling Village'

Tent (families with children aged 6+) - 20 min sessions on hour and half hour
Yurt (families with children aged 4+) - 20 min sessions on hour and half hour
Departure point for 'Story Journeys' (adults & older children) - walks depart every 15 mins and lasting up to 25 mins

Next to Inverleith House Pond

The Little Fawn Caravan (families with children aged 5+) - puppet theatre performances at 1.00pm, 1.45pm, 2.45pm and 3.30pm

John Hope Gateway

The Dell (for children and families) - 20 min sessions on hour and half hour
Real Life Science Studio (for adults & older children) - performance of The Lost Seasons from 2pm to 2.50pm
