Manuscript Illumination techniques used by the medieval masters: pigment grinding, traditional binding mediums and gilding (both flat and raised). All designs will be done on vellum and/or parchment which we will learn to prepare. We will start with simple geometrical forms, flower borders or initials: decorated with flower motifs.
