As part of the launch of our Talking Science project come along to the amazing woodland garden of Dawyck Botanic Garden to celebrate John Muir’s 175th birthday and discover why we love the big trees species that grow in the parks, gardens and natural landscape of Scotland.

This event will help you discovery a new hidden natural world through looking at Lichen and mosses close up. Come along and work with RBGE’s leading scientists to discover and appreciate big trees species. We will consider their size, how we can read trees like a history book, what grows above ground and how this relates to climate change, biodiversity and conservation issues.
