Focusing on the drawing skills and principles of garden design this weekend workshop will help you create a design for an outdoor space. We will explore elements such as height, perspective, features, materials, style etc., and employ basic drawing techniques to create a complete design for your chosen plot.
The first day will consist of lectures breaking down the elements of design; space proportions, and arranging shapes/patterns to create the basic garden layout. Students will be asked to decide on a chosen style or theme ready to work on the following day.
Day two students will work on a design for their own garden or a chosen plot they wish to design. Design time will allow students to ask questions and discuss their designs on a one to one basis. Once a design has been selected, basic drawing skills will be covered. During the session students will produce a design plan and a perspective drawing.
Taught by RHS gold medal winning Garden Designer, Pip Probert.
