This exhibition seeks to convey the ‘other side’ of the news-reported life in Iraq - that of the wonderful scenery, wildlife and traditional culture that persists in spite of war and oil exploitation – and the great work that is being taken forward by Nature Iraq. The first-rate images used in the exhibition were recorded by the Nature Iraq biologists/photographers as they have documented Iraq’s Key Biodiversity Areas.

Listen to what the founder and director of Nature Iraq, Azzam Alwash, has to say in his TED talk by clicking here.

This exhibition was originally developed by BirdLife International and Nature Iraq, and was shown in England in 2010.
