Mechanisms of spore discharge are among the fastest movements in nature. Nicholas Money, Professor of Botany at Miami University, will showcase ultrahigh-speed videos that reveal microscopic spores travelling at 70 mph and rotating at one million rpm.

Please note that the public Garden closes at 7pm prompt. Entry to the Lecture Theatre is either from the Garden (follow internal signs to the Fletcher Building and then signs to the Lecture Theatre from there) or directly from Inverleith Row (Lecture Theatre is situated within the RBGE office buildings at 20A Inverleith Row.
