Make sure you see the best of Scotland's Most Exotic Garden by joining a guided tour with one of our experts. Guided tours are included in the Garden admission and take place at 10.30am every second Tuesday of the month from April to October. No advance booking necessary.

2016 Guided Walks

15th March: Early Interest in the Garden

Enjoy a tour to discover the flush of emerging foliage and floral displays from plants such as Magnolia, spring bulbs and Rhododendrons, amongst  many others.

12th April: Full Speed Ahead!

Come and enjoy a tour around the Garden to discover the carpets of Trilliums, exotic Rhododendrons and Peat Walls in all their glory.

10th May: The Magic of Spring

Come along and enjoy an amazing tour around the Garden with a member of the Horticultural team. See the stunning seasonal displays of floral delights including Primulas, Maddenia Rhododendrons, Paeonias and Meconopsis

14th June: Guided Walk: Never Ending Colour!

Come and enjoy a splendid walk with the Curator and see summer sensations blooming in Scotland’s Most Exotic Garden. You will see spectacular displays from Lantern Trees, Chilean Firethorn Trees, South American Lobelias and half hardy perennials kick starting the summer flowering season.

16th June: Wildflower Walk

Join Logan Botanic Garden staff on a guided walk around the R.S.P.B. Mull of Galloway Reserve. Wildflowers are in full bloom so learn more about their ecology and importance to our native wildlife.

12th July: The Magic of Summer

Come and enjoy a tour in the company of a gardener. See the vibrant colours and textures of the half-hardy perennials that sparkle and lighten up the garden in a floral firework display. Salvia, Osteospermum, Penstemon and Fuchsia are now in their element.

9th August: The Height of Summer

Come along and enjoy the Garden before the summer flowers start to fade. See the stunning display of waterlilies, exotic cannas and dazzling dieramas.

13th September: The tail end of summer

Come and enjoy an early autumnal tour around the garden in the company of one og the gardeners and see the early autumnal joys on offer. See the lovely Agapanthus, Eucryphia & Fascicularia.

11th October: Early Autumn Shades

Enjoy an autumn tour around the garden with one of the many horticulturists. Garden highlights include many grasses, Salvias, Dahlias and autumn flowering bulbs. An ideal time to ask all those gardening questions that have always puzzled you!

Self-led audio tours

If you prefer to enjoy the Garden at your own pace, ask for a complimentary audio handset at Visitor Reception and discover the fascinating history, hidden treasures and seasonal highlights of this spectacular Garden. We also have fabulous audio tours specifically for children so they can discover the Garden at their own pace.

Booked tours for groups

Tours for groups can be arranged at other times and can be tailored to meet the needs of your group. Due to availability, we ask that you pre-book group tours at least two weeks before your visit to avoid disappointment. There is a small charge of £1-00 / per person.
