Rosita McKenzie - Two Voices; Botany Behind the Scenes

28 July to 14 October, 2007

LOWER GROUND FLOOR GALLERY (access via the lift)

Presented to coincide with the Tercentany this year of the Swedish Botanist Carl Linnaeus (1707-1778), this is the second in a pioneering series of six exhibitions about the Garden based upon commissioned photographs by Rosita McKenzie, an artist and arts consultant, who is blind. These are accompanied by Tactile (raised) Images by Lara Latcham, who has specialised in developing ways of improving access to art for visually impaired people - and commentaries by Rosita McKenzie, Dr. David Harris (Curator of the Garden's Herbarium) and Paul Nesbitt (Director and Curator of Inverleith House).
