Trusts, Foundations and Grants

The world faces mounting environmental challenges today, against the backdrop of a changing climate and struggling global economies. Plants are essentially the life support system of the planet, yet many plant species and their habitats are globally threatened. There is a growing and urgent need to better understand and protect  them, as well as actively involve more people in their conservation. As an internationally-renowned scientific centre of excellence, RBGE is expertly engaged in the conservation of plants, both here in Scotland and overseas. As a Registered Scottish Charity, we work hard to add to the support we receive from government because the more we can raise, the more valuable work we can deliver.

RBGE is fortunate to benefit from the generous and committed support of Charitable Trusts, Foundations and Grant funders - vital funding which enables us to progress many important plant research, conservation, education and visitor engagement projects both at home and abroad. Our work has clear social and environmental aims and benefits, achieving a host of valuable and measurable outcomes for both for plants and people.
