After the storms....

The hurricane force winds which tore across Scotland on 3 January left a trail of devastation across the four Garden sites of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE). Many rare and historic parts of the Garden's plant collections were lost and at Edinburgh the damage to the public and research Glasshouses left many unique specimens vulnerable to the elements. Many of the paths and buildings are operational again,  but the damage to the collections and Glasshouses will take much longer to repair. More...
