Children’s garden drawing of a caterpillarWhat better way to learn about plants and the living world than growing them for yourself? And all the better if you can eat the fruits (and veggies) of your labour afterwards!

Child's drawing of a snailRBGE's children's garden is a Friday afternoon club that runs from Easter to September each year (with a break over the summer holidays). Members get the chance to grow their own veggies - from crunchy carrots to juicy tomatoes in their very own vegetable plot.

There are loads of activities to do - preparing the plots, sowing seed and tending the plants, as well as garden tours, minibeast hunts and the chance to make hanging baskets and a host of art and craft projects.
