BOOKING FOR SHORT COURSES
How to book:
Booking lines open for the 2008-09 programme on Monday 16th June 2008
Advance booking for RBGE Members is from Wednesday 11th June 2008
By Post
Download a booking form from the box above and return to the Education Department along with a cheque or card details.
By Telephone
Ring the Education Department on 0131 248 2937 to make a card payment.
Full payment must be made at the time of booking.
Discounts
Members of the National Botanic Gardens of Scotland receive a 10% discount on all short course fees. This is the second marked price for each course unless otherwise stated.
Booking with an Individual Learning Account:
If you have a £200 Individual learning Account you can use it for courses labelled ILA. Please complete and return the booking form, including your ILA number. If you do not yet have an ILA set up, just send your Booking Form, however if your account has not been set up a week before the course starts we will ask you to pay the full amount or withdraw from the course.
Individual Learning Accounts (ILAs) are a Scottish Executive scheme for people on low incomes. For more information please contact 0808 100 1090 or visit www.ilascotland.org.uk.
Cancellations:
Courses may have to be cancelled due to low uptake, or other unexpected circumstances and a full refund will be given. We will make every effort to notify you of a cancellation, so it is important to provide both your daytime and evening phone numbers and email address if you have one.
Some courses may not be able to run if the Garden has to close due to high winds or other severe weather. This will be indicated on your course outline. If this seems likely, please contact the Garden before you set out.
Refunds:
If you need to cancel your booking, please inform the Education Department in writing as soon as possible. The cancellation is effective from the date your letter is received and is subject to the following charges:
- For cancellations with more than 4 weeks' notice we will refund your payment less 15%.
- For cancellations with 4 weeks' notice or less we will refund your payment less 50%.
- For cancellations with 1 week's notice or less we regret we are unable to refund your payment unless there are exceptional circumstances. However if we are able to fill your place at short notice we will offer a 50% refund.
